Documenting Pink Floyd's final tour before it was mothballed in 1995, the live album Pulse featured the legendary prog-rock band defending their The Division Bell album while also replaying The Dark Side of the Moon to the delight of fans.
The double album movie
This double album, captured on several dates of the European tour and with three of the original members of the group in the cast (David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright, Roger Waters having already left the group ten years earlier), had been accompanied on its release by a live concert recorded on October 20, 1994 in London, available at the time on VHS and Laserdisc.
Restored and reassembled from the original masters
In 2019, on the occasion of the release of The Later Years box set dedicated to the end of Pink Floyd's career, the film Pulse from this tour had been restored and re-edited from the original masters in order to be included on Blu-Ray. Three years later, it's now available separately since February 18, 2022, with the release of two Deluxe Blu-Ray and DVD box sets that feature the original cover design, including the pulsed light diode from the original CD edition. from 1995, working with two replaceable batteries.
In addition to the concert, these Deluxe box sets include a second disc with a lot of additional content: three video clips, other live excerpts shot in 1994 (rehearsals and live recordings), documentaries about the tour and The Division Bell album, plus a 60-page booklet.
