When announcing its latest quarterly results, Sony announced that it had sold a total of 7.8 million PlayStation 5s for its fiscal year which ended on March 31.
The PS5 is doing better than the PS4
The PS5 is therefore doing better than the PS4 which sold 7.6 million copies during the same launch period. This result is all the more impressive given that the health crisis due to Covid-19 has caused a drastic reduction in the production of components to lead to a worldwide shortage, limiting the availability of the console.
For its second fiscal year on the market, Sony plans to sell 14.8 million PlayStation 5. See you in 2022 to see if the bet will be met.
