Between an original iPhone in a blister pack at €39,000 or the instructions for an old computer at €670,000, Apple's historical products are turning the heads of collectors. But the cult goes much further because it is not only the brand's devices that are concerned, like this object recently sold at auction for the trifle of €218,750, or around 210,000 euros. The item in question: A pair of well-worn sandals worn by Steve Jobs in the 1970s and 80s.
The big brown one with a brown shoe
Steve Jobs is, remember, the founder of Apple. And if you want a few details, know that the sandals in question are brown suede Birkenstock Arizonas. “Never has a pair of sandals gone for such a price,†explains Martin Nolan, director of the Julien's Auction auction house, which managed the sale. And when the NPR site asks him mischievously if these shoes smell, he replies that they smell… “successâ€.
