Avatar 2: the way of water, image
As for HDR Dolby Vision, it will not be there for the benefit of HDR10 alone. This confirms the info on the cover of the pre-order of Avatar 2 in 4K Ultra HD, a choice that is in line with Disney's usual policy (holder of 20th Century Studios) for its physical releases.
Good news however, Avatar 2: The Way of the Water and Avatar, first of the name planned (also planned in stores on June 23) will both benefit from a 4K Ultra HD 100 GB disc and not 66 GB as usual at Disney. This promises a more polished video quality than on the 4K Ultra HD discs of the previous very feature films from the big-eared firm (for example Avengers: Endgame). The latter also specifies in its communication that the average bit rate of the image is 45 Mbits (30 Mbits for BD 3D and 23 Mbits for Blu-Ray). And the image is in 1.85 format.
