Last June, Sony announced that it was carrying out tests on a new PlayStation 5 function: the possibility of playing PS5 games via the Cloud, without downloading them first, on the console of course, but also on compatible devices such as PCs , Mac, iPhone and Android devices.
Ultra HD 4K Streaming for PlayStation Plus Premium Subscribers
This option will soon be available to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, and according to a user of the ResetEra site who is participating in the beta test (see screenshot below), streaming can be configured according to several definitions: 720p, 1080p, 1440p or 2160p, i.e. up to Ultra HD 4K.
What about HDR10 and Dolby Atmos?
On the other hand, we do not know if PS5 streaming is compatible with HDR10 and/or Dolby Atmos, however we do know that the games currently being tested include titles like God of War: Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Fortnite, Fall Guys , Destiny 2, Returnal, Demon's Souls, Death Stranding, Sackboy A Big Adventure, and Destruction All Stars.
