In 2021 Meta (which was then called Facebook) launched its first pair of connected glasses in collaboration with Ray-Ban. An association which has apparently had its small success since the second generation arrives this October, significantly improved compared to the original model.
Ray-Ban/Meta Wayfarer and Headliner smart glasses, main specifications
Two designs are available -Wayfarer and Headliner- with around twenty colors and lenses, for around 150 different appearance combinations. Water resistant (IPX4), these glasses are equipped with a new Qualcomm processor, accompanied by 32 GB of storage, eight times more than before. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 compatible, the glasses are now equipped with a better 12 Mpxls camera, with a magnifier visible when you are filming, to limit privacy issues. Also note the ability to do live streaming. Note in passing a set of five microphones for voice commands and phone calls, as well as new speakers offering 50% more volume and twice as powerful bass. Battery life is 4 hours, and eight additional charges are contained in the charging case, which also doubles as a glasses case.
