Return, as announced yesterday, to the Bowers & Wilkins Serie 700 S3 speaker series unveiled by the British manufacturer last fall for a detailed presentation of its references. After a zoom on the floorstanding models (see our Bowers & Wilkins Serie 700 S3 news, increasingly close to the Serie 800…), place the three bookshelf speakers B&W 705 S3, B&W 705 S3 and B&W 705 S3.

The Bowers & Wilkins Serie 700 S3 Hi-Fi and Home Cinema speaker series, as a whole, benefits from multiple developments, starting with narrower cabinets and fronts with curved lines (to reduce edge effects).

B&W 705 S3, B&W 706 S3 and B&W 707 S3, three bookshelf speakers Like the columns, the B&W 705 S3, B&W 706 S3 (see photo above) and B&W 707 S3 bookshelf speakers accommodate midrange drivers equipped with an FST Continuum membrane. On the other hand, only the 705 S3 benefits from a tweeter in On-Top configuration (see photo at the bottom of this news), i.e. decoupled from the speaker. Decoupled or recessed in the chassis, this tweeter is new: elongated aluminum block to reduce distortion for greater speed and double fixing (compared to just one). The dome is still in carbon.

Finally, for its Series 700 speakers, B&W has selected more efficient filters with specific bypass capacitors from Mundorf. As you can see, these are numerous borrowings from the 800 series.
