70% of Americans can't live without the internet

The Internet has become so “vital” in the lives of Americans that the majority of them cannot imagine being able to live without it.

Before a recent online conference, the research firm Park Associates revealed that 70% of American households connected to the Internet admit that they could not live without the Internet.

“Consumers have new expectations of technology in their daily lives,” said Elizabeth Parks, president and chief marketing officer of Parks Associates. The demand for notifications, alerts and understanding of what's happening in the home, as well as the growing interest in technology in both living and working environments, is changing the way manufacturers and suppliers solutions design and deploy new products.”
