The American manufacturer nVidia is about to launch the nVidia Shield Experience Upgrade 9.1.2 update for nVidia Shield TV boxes, which notably provides compatibility with the Auro 3D format, an alternative audio system to Dolby Atmos.
Auro 3D for nVidia Shield TV boxes
An interesting partner for Auro 3D which is currently only poorly integrated into streaming devices, and compatible content is rare. To take advantage of it, simply connect a compatible Auro 3D decoder to the nVidia Shield TV via HDMI, and use streaming applications such as Artist Connection.
Among the other improvements of this update, note latency even lower with Steam Link, as well as the latest Android TV security.
