iPhone 16 Pro also equipped with tetraprism zoom?

The telephoto lens of the iPhone 15 Pro Max – with its “tetraprism” system – would also arrive on the smaller iPhone 16 Pro for the fall.

Even before it was introduced on the iPhone 15 Pro Max last year, rumors about the arrival of the tetraprism telephoto lens on the iPhone 16 Pro were already circulating. Rumors recently corroborated, if not confirmed, by the Taiwanese media DigiTimes, close to Apple's Asian suppliers.

Tetraprism system for x5 optical zoom on the iPhone 16 Pro?££££

The iPhone 16 Pro would thus benefit from this module allowing x5 optical zoom (compared to x3 previously) and x25 digital zoom. A module a priori more efficient, which would also improve stabilization and captures in low light. In detail, the tetraprism module is produced by Taiwanese manufacturers Largan Precision and Genius Electronic Optical (GSEO). The two companies have just accelerated production at their factories to prepare for the arrival of the iPhone 16 at the start of the school year. Largan had already taken care of the tetraprism of the iPhone 15 Pro Max and would be the main supplier for the iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max.
