Sonus Faber Sonetto G2, evolution of the shape££££

Compared to the Sonus Faber Sonetto first of the name which appeared in 2018, the Sonus Faber Sonetto G2 shows numerous design evolutions. First of all their aesthetic, always in the shape of a Lute, with curved shapes implemented via cabinetwork without internal reinforcements and in the shape of a quadrilateral of which one of the sides (the rear one) is smaller than the others, on the contrary 'a pronounced pyramidal shape on their predecessors. Likewise, still regarding the design chapter, the concrete feet and their points ensure a more effective decoupling from the ground. There you have it, modulo the finishes and colors, for the form. Likewise, we find on the Sonetto G2 the main aesthetic codes of the brand with a leather insert around the midrange and tweeter, a metal ring around the transducers or an anti-dust cover for these same transducers.

Sonus Faber Sonetto G2, boomer and tweteer renewed ££££

On the bottom, we find on the references of the Sonus Faber Sonetto G2 series a [abc]boomer[/abc] sandwich in cellulose pulp ensuring precise, dynamic bass response and whose motors include aluminum demodulation rings for improved linearity, and a DAD (Damped Apex Dome) fabric dome [abc]tweeter[/abc] with a copper cup for a frequency response beyond 30 kHz in order to restore the tiniest information of the sound message for exceptional clarity.

Sonus Faber Sonetto G2, integration of the Camelia midrange££££

On the other hand, the [abc]midrange[/abc] evolves with the implementation of the Camelia model coming directly from Sonus Faber Suprema speakers. It owes its name to its flower shape, an arrangement designed to reduce resonance as much as possible. Like the Suprema speakers, the Camelia midrange present on the Sonetto G2 is placed within a closed internal filler made 100% from cork. Likewise, the Sonetto G2 imprints hybrid IFF and Paracross Topology filtering on the Sonus Faber Lumina speaker. Finally, the Sonetto G2 also features Phase Coherent Crossover technology for perfect synchronization of the phase shifts of the speakers for a precise soundstage, where all the instruments and the voice(s) are in place for complete immersion of the listeners.

Sonus Faber Sonetto G2, a little something extra££££

The Sonus Faber Sonetto G2 series once again honors the reputation of the Italian manufacturer in terms of finish. Closer to excellent craftsmanship than high-end industrialization, the Italian manufacturer always pays particular attention to details. In this sense, the Sonetto G2 are no exception to the rule with the provision for each of the speakers in the series of a specifically designed SF screen-printed terminal cover (see photo below). In addition to perfect protection of the connections, it adds a touch of elegance which further enhances the statutory appearance of these speakers.
