For the first time in years, Apple has dropped out of the top 5 best-selling smartphone brands in China.

Chinese brands increasingly prophetic in their country££££

This is revealed by the latest figures from the Canalys firm, which specifies that the distribution of iPhones in China has declined by 6.7% compared to the same period the previous year. A drop that can be explained by the growing competition from local brands such as Huawei, Vivo, Oppo, Honor and Xiaomi. Huawei in particular stood out in the high-end segment, thanks to the powerful processors also produced in China.

Overall, the smartphone market in China grew by 10% compared to the same period last year. In this second quarter, Vivo regained the leading position followed by Oppo, Honor and Huawei. And Xiaomi returned to the Top 5 thanks to a growth of 17% compared to last year.
