Another record quarter for Apple

Despite a slight decline for the iPhone, Apple still breaks its quarterly record in terms of turnover.

Apple recently announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2024, and broke its record for this period with a turnover of 85.78 billion dollars, or 4.9% better than the result of the previous year.

In detail, the iPhone, which represents the majority of Apple's revenue, observes a slight decline of 1% for a turnover of 39.3 billion. The second most profitable division, Services (AppStore, Apple Music, Apple TV+, etc.) broke a record with 24.21 billion, or 14.1% better than a year ago.

iPad sales increased by 24% (7.16 billion) thanks naturally to the recent launch of the brand's first Oled iPads (see our news New iPad Pro: Ultra Retina XDR Oled, M4 chip and unrivaled thinness). Finally, the Wearables, Home and Accessories sector (Apple Watch, HomePod, and AirPods) saw a decrease of 2.2% compared to the same period last year, for a turnover of 8.28 billion dollars.
