While previous rumors had the new Nintendo Switch 2 console arriving in March 2025, new information has disrupted the schedules. The machine would not arrive for the current fiscal year.

Knowing that Nintendo's fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31, the console will arrive at the earliest on April 1, 2025. This is what Christopher Dring of GameIndustry.biz reports on the Microcast podcast. All the developers he spoke to agree that the Switch 2 will not be launched during this fiscal year, although they hope for an arrival for April/May 2025.
Even if the machine will not be launched during this period, its official announcement should be held in March 2025 at the latest.
