JFK: 4K Ultra HD for an even more Stone Director's Cut

In 2001, for its 20th anniversary, director Oliver Stone added 17 minutes to JFK (1991), his film dedicated to the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas on November 22, 1963. This is the version that L'atelier d'images will release on November 5 in 4K Ultra HD. With HDR Dolby Vision label.

A trial film par excellence and the matrix of the genre since, Oliver Stone's film JFK is based on the book On the Trail of the Assassins by the district attorney signed by Jim Garrison. It is also based on the work of independent journalist Jim Marrs.

Through his film, the director questions the conclusions of the Warren Commission report by demonstrating in a relentless way, with images to support it, the many improbabilities of the official file. Kevin Costner is formidable in the role of prosecutor Jim Garrison. After watching the film, it is very difficult not to think of a conspiracy. A lesson in directing that will go down in history. For the record, in this extended version proposed by the Atelier d'images, the actor James Belushi appears in the role of an accomplice to the murder. He is not credited in the credits.
