iPhone Air in 2025?

The disappearance of the iPhone 17 Plus in 2025 could see the arrival of Apple's thinnest smartphone to replace it, supposedly called the iPhone Air (until now "iPhone Slim").

There have been rumors for a while that a slim iPhone 17 will arrive next year, replacing the iPhone 17 Plus. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, this model could be called the iPhone Air.

iPhone Air probably more expensive than the Mini or Plus models££££

Since 2020, the fourth wheel of the iPhone tricycle (iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 15 Plus) has never really been successful compared to the other models. Apple should therefore try something different in 2025, with the replacement of the Plus model by a very thin iPhone, the thinnest ever released, the iPhone Air.

This name refers to the MacBook Air released in 2008, later the iPad Air. Although it is expected to be less powerful than the Pro models, the iPhone Air could be more expensive to offset the smaller size and manufacturing complexity. However, as technology evolves, models in later years could catch up to the capabilities of the iPhone Pro.

According to Gurman, the "cool" aspect of this iPhone should compensate for its lesser features and make it much more popular than the iPhone Mini and iPhone Plus.
