James Bond, who are the 5 potential directors?

Alongside the speculation about who might take on the role of Bond, knowing who will direct the next film also means several films in a row, and therefore a complete reboot of the franchise. For the moment, according to some sources, the next James Bond film is still without a script and without a title.

The production has, however, called a number of potential directors for an initial series of speed dates in order to find someone who has both experience and who wouldn't push to bring out "their personal style that would encroach on Bond's DNA". In short, "a puppet that doesn't look like a puppet".

So far, in the list that is circulating, the favorite would be Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front) while Bart Layton (American Animals, The Imposter) and Yann Demange ('71, White Boy Rick) would be potential challengers. David Michôd (Animal Kingdom, The Rover) and Kelly Marcel (Venom: the Last Dance) would also be in the running.
