Addams Family Values Returns in 4K for Halloween

The sequel to Barry Sonnenfeld's 1991 film The Addams Family, Addams Family Values, returns in 4K on November 27.

Originally, The Addams Family was a series of cartoons from the 1930s by Charles Addams. It was adapted into seven television series, including two animated ones, a Broadway musical, as well as two feature films, two animated films and a direct-to-DVD. It is an institution of American culture.

In 1991, director Barry Sonnenfeld (the Men in Black saga) gave him a great comeback to the cinema with a cast worthy of the cult that many Americans have for him: Anjelica Huston played Morticia Addams, Raúl Juliá was Gomez Addams. Christopher Lloyd played Fetid Addams and Christina Ricci played Wednesday (a character who recently gave rise to a Netflix series by Tim Burton).

Following the success of the first opus The Addams Family, the same team started Addams Family Values, released in 1993. Michael Jackson was supposed to write the song, but did not deliver his work on time. Despite relatively good reviews, the film was not the expected success and a third part, once considered, never saw the light of day.

A 4K release expected from Paramount on November 27, pre-order by clicking on Addams Family Values.
