Beoplay H100 premium headphones: 96 kHz, 24-bit, Spatial Audio and Head Tracking

B&O Play announces the H100 circumaural headphones, the brand's new flagship model that pushes all the boundaries on substance, with ultimate sound specifications. And in form, unmatched design and comfort. Introducing.

For the Beoplay H100 headphones, Bang & Olufsen announces the colours: "Unparalleled sound quality, exceptional digital noise reduction, new modular construction and remarkable aesthetics inspired by the brand's icons". As you can see, the Beoplay H100 is aimed at the most demanding of music lovers for whom the plumage must imperatively relate to the song.

A word from Kristian Teär, CEO of Bang & Olufsen££££ "The Beoplay H100 is the sublimation of what we have achieved over the last ten decades. These headphones define our future: an era where the beauty of sound is built to last. It embodies the true potential of what a Bang & Olufsen portable audio product can be, and we are eager to bring it to our customers," says Kristian Teär, CEO of Bang & Olufsen. He continues: Drawing inspiration from the unrivaled performance of our Beolab speakers, our iconic designs from the past, and the modular construction that goes with material excellence and circularity, the Beoplay H100 truly embodies our design and innovation potential.”

Beoplay H100, design and finishes: the words of Tiina Kierysch, Design Director at Bang & Olufsen££££ The manufacturer’s high standards are reflected first and foremost in the materials used, here scratch-resistant tempered glass for the touch interface located on the left side of the headphones. In addition to the tactile buttons, there are dials with haptic precision. The new removable inner headband is wrapped in woven textile and the ear cushions are covered in soft lambskin. Finally, three colors are available: Infinite Black (black), Hourglass Sand (sand) and Sunset Apricot (apricot). “The goal was to design an immersive audio experience with ultimate comfort,” says Tiina Kierysch, Director of Design at Bang & Olufsen. “We wanted to combine high-quality materials with jewelry-inspired colors to create a design that is both timeless and sophisticated. With the solid sheen of aluminum, the softness of leather, and the coolness of glass, Beoplay H100 not only claims to be excellent in sound, but also in design.”

Beoplay H100, ergonomics and active noise reduction££££ Of course, Beoplay H100 features wearer detection: simply place it on your ears and start playing music, no more power button needed! Lifting one of the earpieces or placing the palm of your hand on it allows you to switch between Closed and Open mode to hear your sound environment as if the headphones weren’t there. Similarly, the haptic wheel allows you to activate TrueTransparency mode to perceive your sound environment, again as if the headphones were no longer required. It is also possible to personalize the user interface via the Bang & Olufsen app. The total battery life is 34 hours and a quick 5-minute charge offers up to 5 hours of additional listening.

Active noise reduction uses 10 microphones for the most advanced transparency and sound attenuation process ever offered by B&O, for an unprecedented result.

Beoplay H100, cradle-to-cradle principles££££

The Beoplay H100 headphones have been designed with longevity in mind based on cradle-to-cradle principles with certification planned for 2025. The latter promotes eco-design approaches in line with the eco-responsible values of the circular economy. The label takes into account the reuse of all raw materials in order to avoid the generation of waste in the life cycle of a product. The goal is to create eco-responsible products that can be fully recycled or reused at the end of their life, thus creating a continuous and sustainable cycle of production and consumption.

Thus, the Beoplay H100 allows the replacement of wearing parts (internal headband, ear cushions) and defective components (batteries, printed circuits, speakers, glass surface). In addition, it integrates the brand's scalable Mozart software platform. The Beoplay H100 will then be able to integrate the next new technologies, for example wireless high-resolution audio and Multipoint 3-Device. Note that the Beoplay H100 comes with a 5-year warranty with a subscription to Beocare (B&O warranty extension program), three years otherwise.

Beoplay H100, acoustic package££££ For the rest, on the substance therefore, the Beoplay H100 Bluetooth headset has 40 mm speakers made to measure and placed behind aluminum grilles. Compatibility with 96 kHz/24-bit signals is a given. The same goes for Spatial Audio compatibility ([abc]Dolby Atmos[/abc]). Another interesting asset is Head Tracking technology. With it, the position of the sound in space takes into account the orientation of your head: a guitar located on the left in the sound image will end up behind your head if you turn it to the right. The realism and sound immersion are therefore perfect.
