Denon PMA-3000NE, Stereo Amplifier of Excellence: New Era Series Amplifier

The Denon PMA-3000NE, the manufacturer's latest premium stereo amplifier, succeeds the Denon PMA-2500NE (click to discover the product test by the AVcesar editorial team).

The new Denon PMA-3000NE amplifier delivers 2 x 80 W into 8 ohms and 2 x 160 W into 4 ohms thanks to an oversized power supply circuit, providing significant current reserves. The integrated Ultra High Current Mos (UHC) field effect transistors (FETs) deliver high intensities for remarkable sonic dynamics. The Denon PMA-3000NE can therefore be combined with a wide variety of speakers, including those known to be difficult to drive.

Denon PMA-3000NE, dual transformer in LC configuration££££

The Denon PMA-3000NE is distinguished by the use of two transformers arranged in LC (Leakage Canceling) configuration, an approach aimed at minimizing mutual interference caused by magnetic fields. This configuration also helps to significantly reduce leakage, which is often the cause of unwanted background noise. In addition, special care has been taken with the audio signal path, which has been optimized to limit signal degradation.

The exclusive Precision Direct Mechanical Ground Construction process plays a crucial role in eliminating vibrations affecting the output signal. The chassis design, incorporating six separate blocks and a large potentiometer, significantly reduces interference between the various components of the device.

Denon PMA-3000NE, Analog mode££££

The Denon PMA-3000NE is also equipped with an Analog mode, ensuring preserved sound quality and optimal performance from the analog inputs by disabling unused sections. In terms of features, a Source Direct selector is present, it allows to bypass the tone, balance and loudness adjustment circuits. In addition, the latest generation Advanced AL32 Processing Plus technology is integrated. Capable of handling signals up to 384 kHz/32 bits, it ensures unmatched sound precision.

Denon PMA-3000NE, the connectivity££££

Concerning the connectivity, the amplifier offers a Phono MC/MM input, an [abc]CD audio[/abc] input plus two stereo [abc]RCA[/abc] inputs. It also has a stereo Pre-Out output for expanding the system via a preamplifier, and a stereo Rec. It is also worth mentioning an asynchronous [abc]USB[/abc]type-B port compatible with files up to 384 kHz/32 bits and [abc]DSD[/abc] 11.2 MHz, the information of which is displayed on the front screen. Finally, two [abc]optical[/abc] inputs and two [abc]coaxial[/abc] inputs complete the set.

The Denon PMA-3000NE will be available in two finishes, silver and black, from November. Recommended price: 3,499 euros.
