Made between 2002 and 2005, Park Chan-wook's Vengeance trilogy opened the doors to international cinema for him. Three explosive and deeply disconcerting masterpieces that explore the failings of a sick South Korean society.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance

Ryu (Shin Ha-kyun), a young deaf and mute, learns that he is not a match for his sister's kidney transplant. He decides to kidnap the daughter of a wealthy family for a ransom. The perilous deal leads him into an uncontrollable spiral of vengeance.

Old Boy 1988. Oh Dae-Soo (Choi Min-sik), a father, is kidnapped and held captive for fifteen years. His only contact with the outside world is a television through which he learns that he killed his wife. Released against all expectations, he has five days to find his captor. Rage in his belly and a devastating desire for revenge.

Lady Vengeance Incarcerated for thirteen years, Geum-ja (Lee Yeong-ae) gets a sentence reduction thanks to her good behavior. This unexpected freedom has the bitter taste of revenge for the one for whom it is the only reason to live.

Announced on October 12 in a limited edition box set of 7 Blu-Ray and UHD discs remastered 4K by Metropolitan Film & Vidéo, this Vengeance trilogy will be offered in VO/VF DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 with French subtitles, in 2.39 aspect ratio. To perfect this formidable vengeful odyssey, the publisher gives us 12 hours of unpublished supplements with a 24-page booklet and a 320-page storyboard book.
