Huawei Mate XT, smartphone foldable in three!

In a bid to steal some glory from Apple, Huawei unveiled the world's first three-fold foldable smartphone, just after announcing the new iPhone 16.

The leaks and rumors have been true again, and the Chinese manufacturer Huawei has made official the very first smartphone with a screen that folds into three, along two hinges.

The word to Richard Yu, executive director of Huawei££££

"Today, we present to you a product that everyone has been able to think of, but that no one has been able to realize, declared Richard Yu executive director of Huawei. We are once again going to rewrite the history of the industry, transforming science fiction into reality." The Mate XT, that's the name of the device, can thus fold in multiple ways for several uses, from the normal smartphone with a 6.4" (16.25 cm) Oled screen to a 10.2" (25.9 cm) tablet with 3K resolution (2,232 x 3,184 pixels), passing through intermediate forms made possible by the two hinges. On the camera side, there is a 50 Mpxls main lens, a 12 Mpxls wide-angle and a 12 Mpxls telephoto lens plus an 8 megapixel selfie camera. The RAM memory displays 16 GB and the battery 5,600 mAh.

Note that the Huawei Mate XT is currently only available in China and you have to pay the equivalent of €2,500 to €3,000 (three storage capacities between 256 GB and 1 TB) to get your hands on it.
