Breakdown, a 90's gem with Kurt Russell in 4K

Jeff and Amy Taylor are traveling across the United States to settle in California. One day, their car breaks down and Amy goes to look for help. After several hours, Jeff joins her, but she has disappeared.

Directed by Jonathan Mostow in 1997, Breakdown was an excellent surprise at the time, exploiting the very American fear (see The Hitcher or The Hills Have Eyes) of these endless roads populated by disturbing natives. Kurt Russell, as the ideal husband having to fight to the death to save his wife, is perfect. Last film by JT Walsh, who died a few weeks later.

The release of Breakdown is announced in 4K by Paramount on October 21st (click to access the pre-order). HDR Dolby Vision should be part of it, as well as some nice bonuses.
