Apple AirPods 4, now with active noise reduction

Alongside the new iPhones, Apple is introducing its 4th generation of TWS AirPods headphones, which for the first time feature noise cancellation.

Apple's new AirPods feature a redesigned design that's supposed to better fit the shape of your ears for increased comfort. Another notable new feature is the inclusion of the USB-C port, which has been required by European standards since last year.

The earbuds now feature the H2 chip for improved audio quality and features like personalized spatial audio and voice isolation. There's also gesture control via Siri, such as the ability to nod to activate certain functions. Namely, the charging case is the smallest ever provided for this range of AirPods for a battery life of up to 30 hours. Importantly, these AirPods come in two versions, the second (more expensive) benefiting from active noise cancellation, a first for Apple's non-Pro AirPods.

In addition to noise cancellation, this second model can automatically lower the volume if someone speaks to you, and its case is equipped with a speaker to be found more easily if it is misplaced, not to mention wireless charging. As for the differences with the current AirPods Pro 2, know that the latter remain more expensive (€279) and are still distinguished by a few features, including the size (smaller), passive isolation, autonomy (greater), the included USB cable or fast charging.

Available. Recommended price of the AirPods 4: €149 for the normal version, €199 for the version with noise cancellation.
