Bluetooth ULL on TV LG Oled and LG QNED vintage 2025

Ultra-low latency Bluetooth coming to select LG OLED and QNED LCD TVs starting in 2025.

In partnership with MediaTek, LG will integrate Bluetooth ULL (for Ultra-Low Latency) on a selection of [abc]Oled[/abc] and QNED [abc]LCD[/abc] 120 Hz televisions from 2025. The aim of the maneuver is to reduce the latency of [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] game controllers to just 1 millisecond.

The word to the Bluetooth Special Interest Group££££

The technology will especially benefit video games in [abc]streaming[/abc] on services such as GeForce Now and Amazon Luna for example, already available on the webOS system of LG televisions. "The Ultra-Low Latency (ULL) Interface Device Enhancement Project aims to make Bluetooth game controllers as responsive as those using a wired USB connection or proprietary wireless communications," the Bluetooth organization explains on its website.

LG's take on the challenge££££

LG will launch a certification program for wireless controller manufacturers, and the first to offer such a device will be Razer. "LG Electronics has collaborated with Razer and MediaTek to introduce the world's first ultra-low latency Bluetooth controller at the LG webOS Summit 2024 on September 27, 2024, LG announced. The breakthrough technology was demonstrated through an LG webOS smart TV and Razer's Bluetooth game controller, demonstrating a latency of 1 millisecond."
