For those who are still wondering, the Leica Cine Play 1 is 3D DLP Link compatible. Its circular base and associated arch offer great flexibility in placement. In addition, a clever floor stand called Floor Stand acts as a power supply via its base and a system of integrated pins, thus eliminating the presence of a cable on the video projector (the Floor Stand must of course be connected to a power outlet). Elements that significantly improve its ergonomics by facilitating its integration into any interior. Of course, keystone correction and autofocus are present.
Leica Cine Play 1, Triple RGB Laser Onboard££££
The Leica Cine Play 1, based on [abc]RGB[/abc] laser technology for coverage beyond 100% of the Rec.2020 gamut, features a variable throw ratio of 0.9 to 1.5:1 (optical zoom) and a laser light source life of 20,000 hours (Normal world) / 25,000 hours (Economy mode). In addition, it benefits from advanced LIO (Leica Image Optimization) image processing with an integrated 3DLut (three-dimensional Look-Up Table), all optimized by artificial intelligence algorithms for precise color management.
Leica Cine Play 1, main specifications££££
The Leica Cine Play 1 features MEMC (Motion Estimation/Motion Compensation) motion compensation that enhances the fluidity of moving images and [abc]HDR Dolby Vision[/abc], [abc]HDR10[/abc], [abc]HDR10[/abc]+ and [abc]HDR HLG[/abc] compatibility. The brightness is listed at 3,000 lumens for a native contrast of 1,500:1 (dynamic contrast at 2,000,000:1). The lens is a high-performance Leica Summicron specimen manufactured according to the brand's strict specifications for consistent image quality regardless of the diagonal displayed, from 65" (165 cm) to 300" (762 cm).
Leica Cine Play 1, DLP chip with wobulation££££
For the rest, the Leica Cine Play 1 integrates a [abc]DLP[/abc] TI 0.47'' (1.19 cm) chip with a response time of 32 µs and a resolution of 2,048 x 1,200 pixels, of which a section of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels is used to generate an Ultra HD 4K image through the XPR4 process (wobulation) signed by Texas Instruments. The latter uses the hyper-high switching speed of the mirrors via a specific video processing to create 8 million pixels for each displayed image (a real pixel ultimately gives four pixels). Input Lag is announced as reduced (12 ms in 1080p/120) and the maximum display frequency reaches 120 Hz in [abc]1080p[/abc], 60 Hz in [abc]2160p[/abc].
