Let priests rest assured, this is simply an artistic experiment called Deus in Machina (God in the machine) created by the University of Lucerne in collaboration with the Church. The aim of the maneuver is to develop critical thinking on the limits of technology and to question the risks and opportunities of artificial intelligence in a religious setting.
Concretely, this 3D Jesus, displayed and animated on a screen, can answer (in 100 languages) the questions of the curious thanks to its training on theological texts found on the internet.
