Apple Vision Pro “2”, better and (a little) cheaper

The next generation of the Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset aims for a lower price point without sacrificing performance.

According to the Taiwanese firm Trendforce, the second version of the Apple Vision Pro headset will arrive in 2026 and should be less expensive than its predecessor, which is priced at a minimum of €4,000.

Corroborating previous rumors, Trendforce specifies that two new headsets will be launched: a technically inferior and therefore less expensive version, and a more advanced version that does not necessarily cost more than the current model.

For these next-generation products, Apple should save money by looking for other suppliers, particularly for the screen of the most affordable model (change of technology or supplier, or both?) or for certain components of the screens currently manufactured by Sony. This strategy will reduce production costs, and therefore the sale price, while maintaining high-end features.
