With the Hisense 116UX TV (116", 295 cm), the brand will be able to boast of offering for sale the largest television in the world, far ahead (!) of the TCL 115X955 (115", 292 cm) which will remain in the catalog until the end of 2025. If the screen size between the two protagonists is equal, on the other hand the embedded technology differs: the TCL model is equipped with a classic Mini LED backlighting system found in all televisions of the type marketed, the second is equipped with a Mini LED [abc]RGB[/abc] system.

The Hisense UX 2025 TV series will therefore ultimately include two models, the Hisense 116UX and Hisense 110UX (already announced in 2024). The latter breaks all the records with 40,000 zones and 10,000 nits! Already presented in our columns (see our news Hisense UXN TV: Mini LED 75''/98''/110'', Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, up to 40,000 zones and 10,000 nits), we will therefore focus on the new TriChroma LED TV model, the Hisense 116UX.
Like its "little brother", the 110UX, the Hisense 116UX Mini LED RGB Ultra HD 4K has a backlighting system called RGB Local Dimming Technology with 15,680 zones each equipped with three diodes (one red, one green, one blue) boosted by Quantum Dot (the Quantum Dot filter disappears) for colors of unprecedented purity and energy. In terms of colorimetry, efficiency is on the rise and the announced performances command respect with 97% coverage of the Rec.2020 gamut.
Similarly, the Color Volume is progressing and encoding of each of the three colors on 26 bits. The ability to manage the zones in groups and to control the brightness of these at the same time as managing the light intensity of each of the zones allows extremely fine management of the brightness. This process allows the brightness of the colors to be generated independently and eliminates the blooming phenomenon while maintaining precise control of each pixel. In the end, the Hisense 116UX TV also announces a peak brightness of 10,000 nits.
One of the other advantages of a Mini LED RGB backlighting system concerns the reduction of the emission of blue light harmful to the eyes. Its percentage here displays 38% of the light emitted compared to 70.5% on a classic Mini LED TV. And since only the diodes necessary for displaying an image are activated, energy consumption is also reduced, by 30%.

Hisense UX TVs feature a [abc]Ultra HD[/abc] [abc]4K[/abc] 165Hz native or 288Hz LCD panel via HSR (Hardware Super Resolution) technology. The embedded processor, called Hi-View Engine X, is the most powerful ever used by Hisense in its broadcasters. It was specifically developed for the significant resource requirements of the Mini LED RGB backlight. MEMC motion compensation is present, as are the [abc]ALLM[/abc], [abc]VRR[/abc], AMD FreeSync Premium and [abc]HDR Dolby Vision[/abc] functions.
Hisense 116UX Mini LED RGB TV, audio specifications££££
In terms of audio, the Hisense 116UX TV has a 6.2.2 system delivering a total power of around 100 W. The management of [abc]Dolby Atmos[/abc] and [abc]DTS:X[/abc] signals is ensured. Also worth mentioning on UX TVs is the Hi Concerto functionality (synchronization of the TV speakers with those of the brand's compatible soundbars).

Hisense UX TVs are structured from the Vidaa U8 interface, are equipped with a brightness sensor, Pro Game mode and Alexa and Vidaa Voice voice assistants. For the rest, the Filmmaker Mode, the Imax Enhanced certification and the [abc]Dolby Vision IQ[/abc] function associated with an ambient light sensor are on the menu. Other information on this diffuser, its thickness does not exceed 38 mm and the panel benefits from an anti-reflective coating.
