Honor Earbuds Open: True Wireless, open, efficient and multilingual

A few days ago, Honor presented its latest True Wireless earphones, the Earbuds Open, with the ambitious project of combining open architecture and quality sound experience, notably through a true rendering of low frequencies. Not to mention new usage features linked to the embedded AI. Presentation.

With their open architecture, the earphone rests on the ear without penetrating inside and is held via an ear hook. The new True Wireless Earbuds Open thus allow their wearer not to be acoustically isolated from the outside world, therefore to remain in interaction with it and avoid certain dangers (hearing a car while crossing the street for example).

Honor Earbuds Open, open structure and torroidal transducers££££

Inevitably, with the choice of an open structure, the sound quality suffers irremediably. However, Honor assures that its Earbuds Open offer unprecedented audio performance for this type of earphone, in particular thanks to the presence of a virtual bass algorithm and large toroidal transducers, 16 millimeters. All for a balanced sound via a "crystalline" reproduction of all frequencies of the sound spectrum. Namely, support for Spatial Audio files is included and the Surround Cinema Stereo setting allows you to make the most of [abc]Dolby Atmos[/abc] soundtracks.

Honor Earbuds Open, active noise reduction££££

This audio quality is further enhanced by an active noise reduction process specifically developed for open-structure headphones. In addition to drastically reducing ambient noise (up to -24 dB), the Honor EarBuds Open offer clear phone calls, even in windy conditions for example, thanks to an ambient noise reduction process supported by a bone voice sensor. These two processes are based on three microphones. We should also mention the Privacy Call function, which allows you to be perfectly heard by your interlocutor only by whispering and thus preserve the privacy of a conversation.

Honor Earbuds Open, fast charging and dual pairing££££

The Honor Earbuds Open allow fast charging which offers 2 hours of music playback for a 15-minute charge. Otherwise, 6 hours of autonomy are possible with the earphones, 22 hours with the case. The time for a full charge requires 75 minutes for the earphones, 110 minutes for the case. Namely, the Honor Earbuds Open Bluetooth 5.2 manage two simultaneous pairings and sport the IP54 certification.

Honor Earbuds Open, real-time language translation££££

In terms of use, the embedded AI module of the True Wireless Honor Earbuds Open offers real-time language translation. Share mode provides real-time translation of your words captured by one earbud into the other earbud used by a stranger, while Exclusive mode allows you to translate your words captured by the earbuds via the Honor Magic7 Pro smartphone speaker (it does not work with another smartphone). Finally, Interpreter mode allows you to follow a conference or seminar in a foreign language in a chosen language.
