Foldable iPhone in 2026, Fold style or Flip style?

Until now envisaged as a clamshell model like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, the future foldable iPhone could adopt the "pocket book" shape of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold.

Citing financial firm Meritz Securities, Junkanlosreve reports new details on the future foldable iPhone that Apple is preparing, starting with its format described as similar to that of Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold, rather than the Z Flip clamshell model mentioned by all previous rumors. In other words, nothing is certain about it yet.

On the other hand, it corroborates the fact that Apple could launch a device technically above the competition, particularly in terms of the screen, robust and without visible folds. The latter would be produced by Samsung Display, under an exclusive contract with Apple at the expense of LG Display. Samsung's experience with its range of foldable smartphones is not for nothing in this choice of partnership by Apple. Production of this iPhone should start in spring 2026 for a release in September 2026.
