Having just gone on sale, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is being taken under the knife by the YouTube channel PBKreviews. The aim of the operation is to take the device apart to see what's going on inside its shell, and assess how easy it is to repair.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, PBKreviews repairability rating of 9/10££££
In the video above (bordering on ASMR, except for the comments from the dismantler), we can see that the device is relatively easy to dismantle, even if the process requires the right tools (including a heat gun to melt the glue) and a certain amount of technical skill. As a result, the channel gives the device a repairability rating of 9/10, the same as its predecessor.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, huge heat pipe££££
Otherwise, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is distinguished by an even larger copper vapor chamber (or heat pipe) than before, allowing better heat dissipation and thus avoiding overheating. Also note an improved tab system allowing the battery to be removed even more easily than before, therefore also replacing it with minimal effort.
