Partnership to “standardize” augmented reality glasses

Microoled, STMicroelectronics and Quanta Computer are teaming up to develop a base of augmented reality glasses that will be customized and sold by other manufacturers.

Manufacturer of [abc]Oled[/abc] micro-displays and augmented reality (AR) smart glasses Microoled is partnering with STMicroelectronics - a major semiconductor player - and Quanta Computer, a concept provider, to develop a reference design for smart AR glasses.

Creation of a pair of white-label smart glasses££££

In other words, these three companies will create a white-label product that can be customized by another company and will then bear its brand when it is marketed. This base model will stand out for its performance and low power consumption, and can be customized with different optics and display modules to meet the specific needs of each segment and/or target audience.
