Alexa, an even “more” intelligent assistant

Amazon's voice assistant Alexa is getting an upgrade and becoming Alexa+ thanks to an optimization based on artificial intelligence.

As Apple's next-gen Siri voice assistant lags behind, Alexa, one of the most popular voice assistants, is becoming Alexa+. A name change that illustrates its improvement thanks to the latest advances in artificial intelligence.

Alexa+, conversational artificial intelligence££££

Before we get into the details, be aware that this version will only be available in the United States in English at first, before arriving everywhere else, including here. Free for Amazon Prime subscribers, it will cost $19.99 otherwise. According to Amazon, Alexa+ is more conversational, intelligent and personalized. So, the more you interact with it (yes, Alexa is gendered), the better the quality of the exchanges. Alexa+ understands your instructions better, even vague ones, and integrates with tens of thousands of services and devices. For example, simply say that you are cold and Alexa+ will automatically adjust your connected thermostat.

It is also possible to converse with Alexa+, for example about musical artists, or to question the assistant on a video content that you are watching to learn more about the characters, episodes and other miscellaneous information.
