New super-powerful iPad Air M3 and new Magic Keyboard

Without warning, Apple launched last week the seventh generation of iPad Air, a thin tablet with 11" (27.95 cm) and 13" (33 cm) screens equipped with the American manufacturer's powerful M3 chip.

While the latest iPad Pros from 2024 have reached record thinness, the iPad Airs, despite their name, no longer have the monopoly on thinness and are now positioned as "mid-range" versions of Apple tablets. The entry-level range is reserved for iPads, period.

However, these new iPad Airs remain powerful beasts, including the proprietary M3 chip for 20% faster speed than the previous model, as well as the Ray Tracing process (for the first time on iPad Air) which should please video game and 3D fans. Of course, Apple Intelligence is also part of it. On the other hand, the [abc]Oled[/abc] technology expected for years on Apple tablets is reserved for iPad Pros, the Air models remaining with "simple" [abc]LCD[/abc] Liquid Retina screens.

Screens with resolutions of 2,732 x 2,048 pixels (13") and 2,360 x 1,640 pixels (11") with a peak brightness announced at 600 nits for the first and 500 nits for the second, as well as Wide Color (P3), True Tone and Apple Pencil Hover compatibility.
