TCL P8K, 144 Hz QLED TV and HVA, 50" at 98"

In addition to the Mini LED TV series, the TCL 2025 TV range includes several QLED series (see our news TCL 2025 TV range: 10 series including 6 Mini LED, 4 QLED, 1 UHD, 1 HD for 45 references in total). Introducing the TCL P8K, the most exclusive in its category.

The TCL P8K TV series has five [abc]Ultra HD[/abc] [abc]4K[/abc] models: the TCL 55P8K (55'', 140 cm), TCL 65P8K (65'', 165 cm), TCL 75P8K (75'', 191 cm), TCL 85P8K (85'', 216 cm) and TCL 98P8K (98'', 249 cm).

TCL P8K, main specifications££££

The TCL P8K TVs benefit from a double stand (at both ends of the screen) which can be raised to place a sound bar under the screen. Of course, Quantum Dots technology (nanocrystals) is used, associated with a native 10-bit 144 Hz HVA [abc]LCD[/abc] panel and AiPQ Engine Pro video processing. For the rest, we find a very thin panel frame almost non-existent on the left, right sides and at the top of the screen, a Micro Dimming system (optimization of image quality by zone via software process) and a Direct [abc]LED[/abc] [abc]Global Dimming[/abc] backlight for a peak brightness of 350 nits for the 55'', 65'' and 75'', 450 nits for the 85'' and 98 inches. Of course, [abc]HDR10+[/abc], [abc]HDR HLG[/abc] and [abc]HDR Dolby Vision[/abc] IQ compatibility are used. The same goes for the Filmmaker mode.

We also note a Sport mode to smooth out the display during a sports broadcast, a [abc]DVB-T[/abc]2/[abc]DVB-C[/abc]/[abc]DVB-S[/abc]2 tuner, the Game Master label, the [abc]ALLM[/abc] function and minimal Input Lag, less than 10 ms here. VRR is of course present, ditto for FreeSync compatibility.

Finally, DLG (Dual Line Gate) technology is present. The latter, by halving the vertical resolution (so in [abc]1 080p[/abc] and not [abc]2 160p[/abc]), offers a 240 Hz display on the 55" and 98" specimens, 288 Hz on the 65", 75" and 85", for a smoother and more enjoyable video game experience.

The sound section mentions [abc]2.1[/abc] equipment signed Onkyo for a total power of 35 W (2 x 10 W + 15 W) on all references.

TCL P8K, Smart Google TV function££££

If the multimedia gateway function [abc]UPnP[/abc] ([abc]DLNA[/abc]) is present in addition to the [abc]HBBTV[/abc] compatibility, one of the strong points of the TCL P8K TV series concerns the integration of the Google TV Smart TV function, in version 12.0 here.

Of course, the [abc]Wi-Fi[/abc] ax is on board, in addition to the [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.0 function. All "driven" by a Quad Core processor. We also note the [abc]Chromecast (integrated)[/abc] and T-Cast Away functions to display the content of the TV screen on a second screen. The [abc]Dolby Atmos[/abc] and DTS Virtual-X compatibilities are integrated (virtual process).

TCL P8K, the connectivity££££

In terms of connectivity, the TCL P8K TVs are equipped with four [abc]HDMI[/abc] [abc]2.1[/abc] ports (including one [abc]HFR[/abc] 4K/144, one [abc]HFR[/abc] 4K/120 and two 60 Hz, Pentonic 700 chip) certified [abc]eARC[/abc], [abc]VRR[/abc] and [abc]ALLM[/abc]. Other connectors include an [abc]optical[/abc] output, a [abc]USB[/abc][abc]3.0[/abc] port, an [abc]Ethernet[/abc] port, a headphone output and a [abc]CI+ port[/abc].
