Expected to be the biggest graphical overhaul that iPhone interfaces will have undergone since iOS 7 (2013), the new iOS 19 arrives next fall. And as always, when a new version of the iPhone operating system is deployed, it is only compatible with models from the last five years (more or less), leaving older iPhones behind.

Developers already in the know know which models are compatible and which are obsolete. Thus, iOS 19 arrives on all mobiles released between the second generation iPhone SE (included) and the latest iPhone 16th. Or to look at it another way, the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, the oldest models still compatible with iOS 18, will not accept this new generation of OS.
iOS 19 will be presented at WWDC next June, then deployed at the time of the release of the iPhone 17 next September.
