MooInk V, the first e-reader with a foldable screen

After smartphones, foldable screen technology is now coming to e-readers. Finally!

It's been six years since foldable screens first arrived on smartphones, and this year the technology is being applied for the first time to an e-reader, those tablets whose display is designed primarily for the comfort of extended reading.

When you think about it, such a combination seems so obvious, the book-style folding recalling "traditional" paper reading habits. The e-reader in question is called MooInk V and its Taiwanese manufacturer Readmoo collaborated for nine years with E-Ink to develop the foldable "electronic paper" screen, capable of surviving more than 200,000 folds.
