According to the Korean site The Elec, Samsung is already planning the ordering of chips and materials for the production of its new Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 foldable smartphones in 2022.
Foldable smartphones, 20% of Samsung premium models in 2022?
In detail, Samsung plans to produce 2.9 million Galaxy Z Fold 4, and 6.9 million Galaxy Z Flip 4, for a total of 9.8 million units. If achieved, this figure would represent 20% of premium smartphones produced by the brand. For comparison, the total of Z Fold 3 + Z Flip 3 manufactured this year fluctuated between 6 and 7 million units. This shows that Samsung expects to reach even more audiences in 2022.
