The company Monavo announces the Monavo Ring, a ring which aims to monitor not only the usual biometric data, but also chronic diseases. The ring has a much thinner design than its competitors, thus targeting a female audience of all ages, knowing that this kind of gadget is adopted more by men.
Extensive cross-sectional analyzes
The Monavo Ring measures usual data such as heart rate, its variability, sleep, respiration, temperature, blood oxygen level, steps and calories burned. And in addition to what the usual connected bracelets and watches offer, the Monavo links these data together for further analysis. For example, the app can tell you how your exercise habits affect your sleep patterns or heart rate over the long term.
More features in the future
The first version of the Monavo Ring will not have the clearance of the FDA (Food & Drug Administration), but the company goal is to obtain it on the following models and to add additional medical features like the non-invasive measurement of glucose or blood pressure. Source: The Verge
