After a noticeable foray into the portable console market, but not really successful, Sony withdrew in 2014 after ceasing production of its latest machines, the PSP-1000 and PSP Street.
Since then, the brand has focused on home PlayStation consoles, but that does not prevent some from imagining an alternate reality in which Sony would continue with its PlayStation Portable.
New generation PSP signed Andrea Gallarini and Nicola Pezzotti
The designers Andrea Gallarini and Nicola Pezzotti have thus created this 3D concept of a new generation PSP, equipped with an Ultra HD Oled screen occupying a large proportion of the front. The buttons and controllers are inspired by the DualSense PS5 and the charging device is completely reminiscent of the PlayStation 5.
Like a slice of ham in a sandwich, the PSP is inserted into this charging pad which apparently also acts as a dock (see photo above), allowing you to play on the television like Nintendo Switch. Source: YankoDesign
