On the occasion of the announcement of the financial results of the last quarter, the co-CEO of Netflix -Ted Sarandos- confirmed that there would be a second season of Squid Game, the Korean series which broke records audience on the platform last fall.
The word to Hwang Dong-hyuk, creator of the series
“The Squid Game universe has only just begun,†said Sarandos, confirming the words of the series creator -Hwang Dong-hyuk- who said last November: “There has been so much pressure, so many requests and so much love for a second season. I almost have the impression that you leave us no choice! There will indeed be a second season. It's in my head right now. I'm planning itâ€.

Then shortly after: “I am currently in negotiations with Netflix for season 2 as well as for a season 3. We will soon reach an agreementâ€. Source: Variety
