The Philips OLED807 series, like the Philips OLED806 vintage 2021, will have four references, the Philips 48OLED807 (48'', 122 cm), Philips 55OLED807 (55'', 140 cm), Philips 65OLED807 (65' ', 165cm) and Philips 77OLED807 (77'', 196cm). Note, the 77'' specimen has a double leg (chromed metal sticks, see photo at the bottom of this news) against a central T-shaped leg on the other diagonals (see photos below).
P5 Gen6, the heart of Philips OLED807 TVs
On the menu of all these TV series, and featured, the sixth generation of the P5 processor blended with artificial intelligence for a magnified HDR experience (see our news Philips P5 Engine Gen6 processor: HDR10+ Adaptive, Calman Ready, Ambient Intelligence, Imax Enhanced…). We will therefore find all the features associated with this new chip: Imax Enhanced label, ambient light sensor, anti-marking system (to counter the Burn-In phenomenon)… Not to mention two HDMI 2.0 inputs and two HDMI 2.1 inputs with eARC compatibility , VRR (from 40 Hz to 120 Hz), HFR 4K/120, ALLM, FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync.
Namely, a Game Bar is appearing on Philps OLED807 TVs. This allows users to quickly access game-related settings, changing them on the fly without wasting time (see photos below).

But one of the most notable developments on the Philips OLED807 screens is the presence of an OLED EX panel with light performance around 30% higher than that of a conventional OLED panel (see our CES 22 news > New Oled EX TV panel from LG Display, 30% more brightness?). Attention, the Philips 48OLED807 television should be equipped with a classic Oled panel and not Oled EX.
Ambilight 4 sides and HDR10+ Adaptive, HDR HLG and HDR Dolby Vision
Of course, the brilliant Ambilight process is still relevant, in four-sided mode, such as compatibility with HDR Dolby Vision, HDR HLG and HDR10+ Adaptive technologies. The Smart TV function is still based on Android TV, still associated with Google Assistant and "Works with Alexa" certification (requires an Amazon Echo Dot type speaker).
2.1 70W sound system
As with the OLED806 in 2021, the Philips OLED807 Oled TVs incorporate a 2.1 audio system with a total power of 70 watts. The triple-ring type subwoofer is complemented by four passive cones to enhance bass impact. Precision, a Dolby Atmos decoder and a Dolby Atmos Virtualizer function are also required.
Still on the sound side, the Philips OLED807 TVs benefit from the DTS Play-Fi function allowing the configuration of a wireless 5.1 Home Cinema system or the integration of the TV into a multiroom system. Namely, an upcoming Firmware update will allow the Philips OLED807 TV to be used as the center channel in a multi-channel setup.
Premium Remote
Namely, the remote control of Philips OLED807 TVs is identical to that of the 2021 models, backlit with a metallic finish. The sides and back of these remotes are covered in eco-friendly leather from Scottish specialist Muirhead.
