As usual, it was during the recent Unpacked conference that Samsung unveiled the new Galaxy S range for 2022.
Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra: common specifications
As mentioned in our posts on the Samsung Galaxy S22 5G and Samsung Galaxy S22+ 5G, the S22 series models have a lot in common, starting with Dynamic Amoled displays with an adaptive refresh rate from 10Hz to 120Hz .

The screen of the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G is a 6.8'' (17.3 cm) Oled specimen with a 20/9 ratio featuring a resolution of 1440 x 3088 pixels (500 ppi), compatibility HDR10+, 1750 nits peak light and Gorilla Glass Victus+ coating. On the performance side, Samsung has integrated the Octa Core Exynos 2200 processor (1 x 2.8 GHz Cortex-X2 + 3 x 2.50 GHz Cortex-A710 + 4 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A510) engraved in 4 nm, supported by 8 GB or 12 GB of Ram memory and 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of Flash memory to choose from, plus the Xclipse 920 graphics chip.

On the photo side, the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G has a quadruple sensor: a 108 Mpxls wide-angle (23 mm, f/1.8, 0.8 µm photosite, PDAF, Laser AF, stabilized) + a 10 Mpxls periscope ( 230 mm, f/4.9, 1.12 µm photosite, 10x optical zoom, Dual Pixel, PDAF, stabilized) + a 10 Mpxls telephoto lens (70 mm, f/2.4, 1.12 µm photosite, 3x optical zoom , Dual Pixel, PDAF, stabilized) and a 12 Mpxls ultra-wide-angle camera (13 mm, f/2.2, 1.4 µm photosite, PDAF, stabilized). On the video capture side, the smartphone can naturally record video sequences in 4320p resolution (Ultra HD 8K) in 24 fps, 2160p up to 60 fps, 1080p up to 240 fps and 720p at 960fps. And 2160p up to 60fps or 1080p up to 30fps for the selfie camera.

Of course, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G adopts Bluetooth 5.2 LE, NFC and Wi-Fi 6E Dual Band standards. The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh. The fast charging function is required (45 W), the same for Reverse Charging (4.5 W) and fast wireless charging (15 W). Thanks to 5G and the agreement with Google for its Google Duo instant messaging service, video calls are changing greatly with the possibility offered to eight people to take part in the same video call. Google Duo integration has also been optimized and allows you to transfer a videoconference in progress on a Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G to a compatible Smart TV. Last thing, the S-Pen stylus is of course still in the game.
