Sonos recently announced the acquisition of the Dutch start-up Mayht, known for a prototype solar-powered Bluetooth speaker shown at the last CES, and above all for its technology for miniaturizing speaker transducers. It allows to divide the size of the speakers up to ten, without sacrificing the quality of sound and bass.
Speaking to Patrick Spence, CEO of Sonos
An acquisition that will allow Sonos to offer smaller speaker models, especially since the brand has entered the portable speaker sector in recent years. "Mayht's advancements in transducer technology will allow Sonos to take another leap forward in our product offering," said Patrick Spence, CEO of Sonos.
