TCL C935U, Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 soundbar, DTS:X, Ray-Danz and Bluetooth

In addition to its 2022 TV range (see our news on the TCL C935, TCL C835 and TCL C735 series), the Chinese manufacturer unveiled several new soundbars this week during a European press conference. Among them, the TCL C935U, a worthy successor to the TCL TS9030 (click to discover the full review by the AVCesar.com editorial team) also known as Ray-Danz.

Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 model, the TCL C935U soundbar has a third Up-Firing speaker to establish the central channel, in particular for dialogue intelligibility. Of course, the two other loudspeakers placed on the top of the sound bar are dedicated to the Height Atmos channels.

TCL C95U, Ray-Danz technology inside The TCL C935U therefore embeds the second generation of Ray-Danz technology and, as such, it still creates a surround environment using side-facing speakers whose sound waves are diffused via two curved acoustic reflectors, without using a DSP therefore.

TCL C935U, DTS:X on the program Good news, in addition to Dolby Atmos, DTS: X is also in the game. The box is wireless and the total power delivered is 660 watts. The connection has two HDMI 2.0 inputs/output with eARC function, plus an optical input. We also note the multipoint Bluetooth compatibility.

TCL C935U, official presentation at the IFA show in Berlin 2022 With a length of just over a meter (1040 mm to be precise), TCL suggests that the C935U is more specifically intended to accompany televisions of 65'' (165 cm) and more.
