It was called "Pixel Watch" when rumors started swirling about the supposed development of Google's very first smartwatch, but now we are pretty sure of its name. It will be -drum roll- Pixel Watch.

This is indeed confirmed by a recent trademark filing by Google with the US Patent and Trademark Office. No surprise then, and the document indicates that this name “intends to cover the categories of smartwatches, cases for smartwatches, laptops in the form of smartwatches, bracelets for smartwatches…â€.

By giving the name Pixel to this new product, Google shows its intention to connect it to its line of Pixel smartphones, and therefore to create an ecosystem of machines similar to that of Apple. As a reminder, this smartwatch would be equipped with a heart monitor and other health-related functions, and should also have the integration of the Fitbit application, owned by Google since the beginning of 2021.
