We thought we'd see it in 2021, then at the beginning of 2022, then at the end of this year, finally, Google's Pixel Fold is still postponed and should arrive (fingers crossed) in the spring of 2023.
Google Pixel Fold late due to software innovations?
As a reminder, the Pixel Fold -also called Pixel Notepad- is Google's first foldable screen smartphone, supposedly in development for a while. It is the analyst Ross Young of the firm Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) who reveals on his Twitter account the delay of the device, confirmed by several of his sources in the Asian manufacturing chain. Google is apparently not yet completely satisfied with the product, and according to Young it is not the quality of the screen that causes the delay, but the desire to integrate certain software innovations or a more efficient processor.
