Polk Monitor XT: acoustic package
Acoustically, all Polk Reserve models embed the same technologies. Namely a 2.54 cm tweeter with flexible terylene horn. The latter is accompanied, depending on the references, with one or more bilaminated paper boomers (7.62 cm, 13.43 cm or 16.51 cm). In the larger specimens, there are still passive radiators (16.51 cm or 20.32 cm).
Hi-Res Audio certified, the tweeter can flourish in stereo configuration with traditional musical listening but also within a Home Cinema installation to ensure the reproduction of 3D soundtracks such as Dolby Atmos and / or DTS : X, or even in the presence of a video game track.
Polk Monitor XT90, Dolby Atmos module
For its part, the Polk Monitor XT90 is equipped with a 10.16-centimeter full-range loudspeaker, in Up-Firing configuration. It is placed at the top of the Monitor XT20, Monitor XT60 or Monitor XT70 tower speakers to ensure reproduction of the Height channels of 3D soundtracks. Finally, the Monitor XT12 subwoofer has a Class AB amplifier with a power of 100 W and a membrane of 30.48 centimeters. We also note the traditional adjustments of volume, polarity and a variable filter, in addition to an RCA and LFE connection.
