The Hisense PL1 is the first reference in the brand's new Laser Cinema family. Unlike Laser TV models with high luminosity (around 2,800 lumens for 100''/120'' specimens) to be used in broad daylight in a bright room, the Hisense PL1 is content with 2,100 lumens and requires at least semi-darkness to fully express itself. Another difference with the Laser TV specimens, the image diagonal is not fixed, it oscillates from 80'' (203 cm) to 120'' (305 cm) for great ergonomics, always for a distance not exceeding 45 cm away from the wall or the projection screen.

For the rest, the Hisense Laser Cinema PL1 incorporates a TI Ultra HD 4K DLP chip with a response time of 32 µs, ie 500 times faster than an LCD TV. Without further precision from the manufacturer (likewise, the nature of the colored wheel is not mentioned), we are betting on a 0.47'' (1.19 cm) DMD matrix which has 2,048 x 1,200 pixels and of which a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel section is used to generate an Ultra HD 4K image through the XPR4 (wobulation) process signed Texas Instrument.
As a reminder, the latter uses the hyper-high switching speed of the mirrors (7 microseconds) via specific video processing to create 8 million pixels for each image displayed (one real pixel ultimately gives four pixels) . All associated with a simple blue laser source.

Finally, Vidaa U6 will also allow automatic recognition of peripherals connected to the TV (decoder, game console, Blu-Ray player, etc.) for greatly improved ergonomics. Finally, Vidaa U6 is also a totally redesigned remote control with various keys giving direct and quick access to your favorite applications.

The Hisense Laser Cinema PL1 has two HDMI CEC 2.0b inputs (one of which is eARC compatible), two USB ports (one of which is 3.0), an optical output, a CI+ port and an Ethernet port. On the connectivity side, there are the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth functions (to connect a suitable keyboard and/or mouse), the UPnP (DLNA) multimedia gateway and the Miracast function.
